The weather was favorable for the Send a Duck event this time, so 475 small and 19 large corporate ducks were sent to the fundraising race on 13 May. The Digital Academy duck did not win the race, but that's okay. In fact, the entire fundraiser managed to raise an amazing CZK 82,751 to purchase aids for children with disabilities.
Small ducks were thrown into Vrchlice by Mayor Lukáš Seifert, under whose auspices the fundraiser was held, Senator Bohuslav Procházka and a representative of Foxconn, which financially supported the fundraiser.
Soňa Podholová, Director of Operations of the Wine Cellars Kutná Hora, took part in the start of the programme and on this occasion presented a donation cheque for CZK 5,000 to the representative of the Na Siona Centre.
All 475 small and 19 large racers finally reached the finish line. The big ducks represented companies operating in the Kutnohorskie region. 82 751 CZK were donated to the public collection for new equipment for children with disabilities. The owners of the fastest ducks can look forward to a sightseeing flight from the Aeroclub Zbraslavice or a voucher for an escape game. Starting numbers of the winning ducks can be found on the race portal www.poslikacku.cz.
The accompanying programme at the finish line was enriched by singer Andrea Kapounková, who made the children dance with her singing. The Kutná Hora Sokols prepared a sports corner. There was also face painting, which was of interest until the very end.
A new aid, a 3D box projecting interactive programmes, has already arrived at our Regional Charity in Kutná Hora, where it will help children with disabilities.
